Marge Blaurock

Position: Fundraising Committee Chair

Marge Blaurock has been involved in property management since 1985. In 1999 Marge started her own company, Property Management Services Ltd to run the family-owned real estate. She is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, and she holds two Real Estate Designations, CPM(Certified Property Manager) and a CCIM( Certified Commercial Investment Manager).

In 2017, Marge and her husband Richard purchased an old diary farm in Ashville, Alabama. In 2019, after some much-needed renovations, they made their permanent from Illinois to Alabama. Together, Marge and Richard have five children, four grandchildren, and two bloodhounds.

Marge has been a Rotarian for 16 years. richard is also a Rotarian for over 30 years, and together they have been involved in numerous local rotary activities. In 2006 they had gone on a mission trip to Peri to deliver needed medical supplies and to participate in a ceremony to dedicate the washrooms built in an all-girls school. In Illinois Marge was also part of the Northern Illinois team of Ambassadors for Shelter Box, USA, which is an International Disaster Relief organization, and a Rotary Project PArtenrt.

As the 2022-2023 Gadsden Rotary Fundraising Chair, Marge hopes to implement a few minor fundraisers that can also include non-Rotarians, to increase the club’s general fund. Marge is also the 2022 Chair for the Little Black Dress Affair which is the club’s annual fundraiser. 2022 is the 11th Annual and Marge is working with a committee of 8 to put on a great event. Net proceeds for the event will benefit Children’s Hospital Critical Care Transport Unit and other local charities for children
